Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages (CSAB) has a long and proud history of giving back to its communities – in their neighborhood and around the Americas. Bringing their gift to life is part of the company’s heritage and part of its purpose and values. Whether a monetary or volunteer-based investment, supporting and participating in innovative projects improves the quality of life for CSAB employees, customers and communities.
Among the projects we support…
American Diabetes Association (ADA): As a proud sponsor of the ADA’s “Weight Loss Matters Initiative” and “America’s Walk for Diabetes,” CSAB joins the fight against obesity among Americans. The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy. www.diabetes.org
United Way: From pledges, fundraisers, donations and volunteer events, CSAB colleagues continue to show great support for local and national United Way campaigns. Colleagues demonstrated this commitment by assisting in the renovation of a youth camp and pledging more than $150,000 – out of their own pockets – to United Way charities in 2005 alone. http://national.unitedway.org
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA): As a voluntary health agency, the MDA is dedicated to conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than 1 million Americans. Through a partnership with the 7UP brand, the MDA has received more than $40 million over the past 60 years. www.mdausa.org
Shaping America's Youth: Shaping America's Youth (SAY) is an initiative of Shaping America's Health, an organization that seeks to prevent excess weight and obesity and facilitates scientific understanding of weight management. SAY seeks to identify and centralize information on the widespread efforts underway throughout American society to reverse the current trend towards obesitity and inactivity among children and adolescents. www.shapingamericasyouth.com
American Red Cross: In response to the natural disasters in 2005, CSAB established a “Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund”, matching dollar-for-dollar of employee donations to provide aide to those affected by the tsunami in Asia, Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. Colleagues continue to volunteer through CSAB’s “One Day’s Pay” program – trading work hours to volunteer in the community – to assist the Red Cross and similar charities. www.redcross.org
